  • Company to host its own virtual Mimaki 3D Experience following Formnext Connect to continue to engage with and support customers, prospects and the wider 3D industry

Mimaki Europe, a leading manufacturer of inkjet printers and cutting systems, today announces the latest in a series of initiatives designed to support, inspire and engage with its customers through the continued uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic: a back-to-back duo of creative virtual events in the 3D printing space, set to run throughout November and into December.

Kick-starting the events line-up, Mimaki will bring its latest 3D printing solutions, applications and expertise – as well as a brand new solution launched live at the show – to the first ever virtual Formnext Connect trade show (10-12 November). Mimaki will then host its own immersive ‘Mimaki 3D Experience’ throughout the rest of the month to enrich its online offering with a dedicated bank of insightful resources and key opportunities to connect and learn. Live from the 10th of November to the 16th of December, the Mimaki 3D Experience creates a unique virtual space for stakeholders across the industry to capitalise on features ranging from an interactive virtual booth to live video meetings, product demonstrations and expert panels.

November’s events follow a series of similar successes from Mimaki throughout this year, including its Virtual Print Festival in March and April and the Mimaki Live Series this summer. Taking the tradeshow experience online, Mimaki has been able to connect with stakeholders worldwide to delve into the impact of COVID-19 across the print industry, and explore ways of addressing these challenges, evolving and moving forward in the face of a global crisis – with its presence at Formnext Connect and the Mimaki 3D Experience now promising to go even further in supporting customers in this sector and enhancing their online experience.

“With the uncertainty surrounding this year’s pandemic showing no clear signs of coming to an end, we have had to keep innovating – not only in our technologies but in the ways in which we can continue delivering real, valuable support both to our customers and to the wider industry,” comments Danna Drion, Senior Marketing Manager at Mimaki Europe. “Now more than ever, it is incredibly rewarding to be able to utilise platforms such as Formnext Connect to shine a light on some of the extraordinary work that our customers are creating even in the face of these adversities – and to support them in continuing to thrive in this new landscape.”

Amongst its robust line-up of industrial products, Mimaki’s 3DUJ-553 and 3DGD-1800 3D printers are set to take the spotlight at Formnext Connect, with Mimaki promising insightful market updates and a view into some of the machines’ impressive real-life creative applications. Mimaki’s experts will also provide their vision for the future of the 3D market and share, amongst other exciting announcements, an insight into what customers can expect from the subsequent Mimaki 3D Experience that follows the show.

Offering an entirely different format to Formnext’s multimedia profile-based programme, the Mimaki 3D Experience will centre on translating the physical tradeshow experience to the online world in an interactive event, making it ideally placed to complement Mimaki’s presence at the show. With the advanced 3D-rendered virtual booth offering a visual deep-dive into Mimaki’s machines and 3D samples, the platform will also foster meaningful engagement through the use of its interactive chat and virtual meeting functions, as well as hosting an array of both live and pre-recorded content.

“Our new landmark Mimaki 3D Experience is the product of our dedication to our customers and our commitment to adding value and developing our online experiences throughout this difficult time,” concludes Drion. “As we have seen in other parts of the business, events such as these are making a huge difference in helping customers to reconnect, refocus and reenergise, so we will continue to build on this knowledge and do everything we possibly can to help keep the additive manufacturing industry moving forward.”
